WE CHOSE THIS NAME BECAUSE…
Simply put Christians are people who have given their allegiance to King Jesus, the true King of the world. We live as citizens of his rule and reign—his Kingdom on earth as in heaven. By the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we are set free from the powerful grip of Sin and Death; so, there is no longer any need to be paralyzed by fear; there is no longer any need to suffer in guilt, and we who follow Jesus can lay down our shame because we now belong to the Father and relate to Him as His people. That is, we are walking, talking, bits of New Creation. New Creation with a new identity! As Citizens of Jesus' Kingdom, we live to tell the good news that Jesus is King, and that all can become Citizens, New Creation, and have a new identity. All to the glory of Jesus our King.
